Jaeger v2 rebuilds the tracing platform on OpenTelemetry collector — Jaeger v2 is now out, re-architecting the distributed tracing platform around the OpenTelemetry Collector. It ships as a single all-in-one Docker image with UI, collector and query built in, accepting OTLP traces over gRPC or HTTP for quick local testing and production deployments alike.
